I have wanted to write her for a long time, but I think I might break off in a rant about how much I admire her! I would adore an autograph!!! I will have to bring myself to write her!!!!

Same here, Steph, I'm terrified I'll just go off on one and sound like a complete stalker! But if you think about it, what is there to say if you aren't gonna talk about how much you admire her?

What are some good things to say in a fanletter? Is it good to keep the letter short so that she might actually read it? I could see her tossing aside super long letters because she doesn't have the time. Does her agent always pass on letters so Miranda herself can read them?
When addressing the letter, are you supposed to write "Miranda Richardson" at the top or will they open the letter find out who it should go to?

I was wonder how to start it. 'Dear Miranda' would just seem so natural to me, since I feel like I really do know her. I guess it would be proper to write 'Dear Ms. Richardson', but I just hate how formal that sounds. I know it should be formal, since we are strangers, but I just don't know. Any opinions? I love your banner too, Arwen!

I'd go with dear Miranda, I don't think there's a problem with that. I know you don't know her but in my opinion fanmail doesn't need all the formalities fo a letter to someone you don't know.
