I've noticed that for sale on ebay at the moment are several Miranda items where the seller has obviously ripped off pictures from the Miranda Online site, and made small objects such as keyrings, fridge magnets etc, from them. I have sent a request for the seller to remove them from sale. I don't know how successful this will be, but I'm a bit aggrieved that they have done it without even asking, plus they have used my personally created main page banner as...a ruler. Aside from the fact I could probably claim a copyright infringement, it gives the impression that these are items from the Miranda website. At least one of the photos too, is one I got specific permission to use, and I don't think it looks good for the site if that photo is used 'for profit', and who knows, it could prevent the site getting authorisation to use other photos in future.
Please excuse my letting off steam.... I know its not really a big thing, and that the seller is unlikely to make a lot of money from them, but I think its a bit of a sneaky and underhanded thing to do, and it has really pissed me off.
I'll shut up now and see what happens next...

My God. What a discraceful thing to do. It totally IS a infringement of copyright. I would be furious if that had happened to me.
I hope they do take the things off sale, but knowing those kinda of people they unfortuantly won't. My dad has been having trouble with ebay too, although not in the same way. He bid for something and won it, they the seller said the price was too low for what it was and wouldn't sell it to my dad even though he was the highest bidder. I think that was a wrong thing to do and breaks one of the rules off ebay.

Clive,I totally understand that you are livid. you put a lot of work into that wonderful site, and it's just not ok that some people simply take what you did and make profit from ít.

Thanks for the messages of support. All has been resolved amicably now - the seller has apologised and will not be selling any more items from the site.

Well done! God, the nerve of some people. Saving pictures from a website to use as your own desktop-background or something is one thing, but to try and sell stuff that someone else has created and put together for a profit is just wrong.

Great job Clive! Though they sound pretty bad, so I wonder why anyone would even want to buy any of them.
I hate it when people do that. ebay should check what people are selling before it goes up and then have someone carefully watch them and make sure it gets to the buyer safely and in an orderly fashion (so that what happened to Queenie's dad doesn't happen to anyone else).
