Why would gasping be annoying?

It's a selfish wish of mine. At that point in the movie, I want to be engrossed in it. I want silence. I want to feel like only I am watching it. If someone gasps after it happens, as though they didn't know it was coming, it will break me from my trance and piss me off. A similar thing happened in the theaters of Return of the King. At the point where Eowyn says "I am no man," two women sitting in front of me suddenly cheered. That girl power moment was a little annoying. I don't mind people laughing in the theater though or anything like that. I just want silence during serious moments.

Interesting. I gasped, I think because I knew it was coming, and because there's so much *power* in AK that doesn't exist in, say, films with guns. I don't know. 'Kill the spare' got me too, in GoF.
I love that about the cinema, though, other people's reactions. The communal response to things, maybe. The best HP screening I ever watched was at the Patronus con in Denmark - all these crazy fangirls who knew fandom watching GoF together, and like, cheering when certain characters came on the screen. WHen McGonagall said 'Potter is a boy, not a piece of meat', someone at the baclled out 'we respectfully disagree!' I love all that.

I didn't know where to post this because if Miranda is definitely going to be in the Deathly Hallows then I would have started a thread under her moives, but if she isn't then I would post this thread under other celebrities/movies, but since we don't really know I decided to post this here: Bill Nighy is going to be in the Deathly Hallows! You guys might know this but I didn't and in case you didn't... he is!!! He is going to play Rufus Scrimgeour the Minister for Magic. I think it is really cool that he is going to be in Harry Potter because I love Bill Nighy and I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!! scifiwire.com/2009/07/potters-scrimgeour-reveal.php

Oh and Jim Broadbent and Imelda Staunton will be returning as Slughorn and Umbridge too, thats going to be cool I know Umbridge is pretty awful and all but I like her! Jim Broadbent isn't bad either, I've seen a lot of his movies and he's pretty good, Slughorn is a little strange but whatever!!

I just saw the film and even though I wanted to scream in frustration of Narcissa, I adored the film! A lot was missing, unfortunately, but a lot of Snape scenes made up for it! ^^ *drools*
Anyway, YES! Rita/Rufus is perfect, as I have never liked Rita/Snape very much. Snape is holy. No one is good enough for him in my opinion. Heehee! But that's just my opinion!

Well, I think that book/movie is mostly about giving important information and of course, what happens at the end. It's not about lots of explosions and non-stop action, but the final two will have plenty of action and adventure, especially the 2nd. The 6th would probably be boring to someone who isn't a fan, which is probably why some reviews say it's boring.

One of my friends doesn't read the books and she found it really long. It is about two and a half hours which is what all of the Harry Potter movies are, but so are a lot of other films.
