Just to add my thoughts: If given the choice I would have picked Nicole Kidman. Or maybe even Rebecca Romijn.

Ugh Narcissa's casting concerns me. I really don't know wtf they were thinking there. Helen Mcrory was originally playing Bella, and so they just threw her the part of Narcissa, which she has completely the wrong colouring for. Seriously, the only similarity she has to narcissa is that she's female and white. Wtf, WB. i agree about the narcissa casting. on another forum that im on theres been a whole lot of rants about it. i always imagined that miranda would make a good narcissa if she was blonde and pale along the lines of Sleepy Hollow i dont mind about mcory not playing bellatrix tho coz helena rocked in the part

God, I HATE THAT CASTING CHOICE SO MUCH. I mean, seriously, anyone would think there was like, a shortage of willowy blondes in the acting business. I've seen promo pics of her, and not only does she have the horrible hair, but they've dressed her up in green tweed, like a different coloured version of Umbridge's skirt-suit. It's totally, totally wrong for her. What were you thinking, WB? What about Kristin Scott-Thomas, or Joley Richardson, or a dozen other actresses better suited? WHYYYY? My sentiments exactly, Angie. I had and entire LIST of people that I could accept as Narcissa. Then, when I found out that they chose H.M., I was crushed. I mean, didn't the book even more or less say that Bella and Narcissa were opposites in appearance? One dark where the other was fair, or something like that? So, as far as I'm concerned, someone who was originally going to be cast as Bella shouldn't even be considered for Narcissa. They're completely different, so casting options couldn't possibly be interchangeable. Urgh. I'm actually kind of dreading the bits with Narcissa now because I know I'll be squirming in my seat and grumbling to myself about the numerous people who'd have been better suited for the part. *takes a calming breath* Okay, mini-rant over. For now. *sigh!* I'm trying not to condemn her in advance, in case she completely surprises me and captures Narcissa's personality perfectly, but I have my doubts.

I have loved Narcissa and the Malfoys so much and Narcissa is probably my all time favourite, part from Snape, of course (Yes, I know... I'm evil deep down. Voldemort should win and all xD) So that casting is just unacceptable in my own little world. Naomi Watts would be PERFECT.

*sporfl*
That's totally brilliant.
I must say, after seeing more promo pics, Narcissa is slowly but surely being filed away under "tweed-clad dominatrix".

Ha! I have to agree... I don't like their casting choice at all but who knows? Perhaps we'll be surprised.

I don't like her at all! She seems too old to be Narcissa to me. And in the pictures I've seen of her as Narcissa is awful! They haven't made her hair completely blonde! At this moment, I don't want to see HBP, but there again, I can't miss my two favourite characters.

I know! I saw the brown hair and I was like "WAAAAAAHT?!" Not amused... But she won't be in the film for long. And hopefully Alan Rickman will finally get some half decent screen time in this one. Who are your two faves?

Who are your two faves? Not just me then I saw a preview clip and was like 'That is NOT Narcissa she looks nothing like that." Narcissa ( ) and Snape. I LOVE Alan Rickman. And both Alan and his character is SO hot! I just melt! I adore Alan Rickman and his voice is amazing. I love Rita because well because Miranda plays her At first I was looking forward to Narcissa but I've went right of her now, Bellatrix is quite funny, Lucious Malfoy (Jason Isaacs) is stunning, and Maggie Smith is awesome as Minerva McGonagall but if I'm honest I would have preferred Kate Duchene. I actually like everyone in Harry Potter, out of the trio Hermione is my fave Emma Watson grew into a very beautiful young woman indeed.

Totally as I heard someone once say "I could listen to Alan Rickman read the dictionary" and I totally agree with that.
